On June 13, 1968, the southwest Minnesota town of Tracy, was hit with the state's first ever recorded F5 tornado. It was an act of nature that crippled the small town, killed nine people and injured 125. But did not break it. Instead it brought folks together in ways before unheard. That, along with the experiences of those who endured the phenomena and lived to remember, will not be forgotten thanks to the efforts of Tracy native Scott Thoma, who has written, Out of the Blue, a book that chronicles the devastating twister and the lives that it touched on that most memorable night.
