7th Grade Basketball
The MCC 7th grade boys basketball team got their 2012-13 season underway by taking on the Raiders from Fulda. The hometown Rebels were defeated 46-19 by the Raiders. The Rebels found themselves down 30-5 at halftime, but played better in the 2nd half. Brandon Winter led the Rebel scoring with nine points. Tyler Groves, Brendan Tjeerdsma, Seth Miller, and Jack Champagne also hit the scoring column for the Rebels. 8th Grade Basketball The Rebel 8th grade boys opened their 2012-13 campaign by hosting the Raiders from Fulda. In a well-played, high scoring affair, the Rebels held on down the stretch for the 52-51 victory. Leading by as many as 10 points late in the contest, the Rebels held off a furious comeback by the Raiders. The Rebels converted some key free throws in the closing minutes to secure the one point win. Noah Slettum and Brady Woldt led the Rebels in the scoring column with 16 and 10 points respectively. Every Rebel hit the scoring column with key contributions also coming from Matt McNab, Brad Schreiber, Mason Whitehead, Ethan Clarke, Dakota ThunderHawk, Kellan Johnson, and Nate Telkamp. |
