November 14
The Slayton Police Department (SPD) received a report of a wounded deer near the golf course along Highway 59 at 5:41 on the morning of November 14, 2012. The injured deer was destroyed.
Assistance was made to the Jackson County Human Services Office at 8:43 that morning with in incident.
Report of a black lab at large in the 2600 block of Garnet Avenue was received at 8:53 in the morning that had been eating from a bird feeder. SPD made contact with the dog’s owner who was advised of city ordinance.
November 15
SPD investigated a minor motor vehicle collision in the 2600 block of Broadway Avenue at 9:59 on the morning of November 15, 2012. Damage was very minor and no injuries were reported at the time. The drivers exchanged information, and a local report was filed.
