Fiscal year 2012 shows school to have a surplus in revenues over expenditures

The Murray County Central School Board last Tuesday evening met to canvass the results of the recent election.  Top three candidates receiving votes included:  Cindy Meling (incumbent), 2,052; Jeremy Steinle, 1,847; Sue Streff (incumbent), 1,995. There were 111 write in votes.  These three will assume positions on the school board on January 1, 2013.

Principal Joe Meyer reported that the district's newly-designed websight is receiving numerous hits, evidenced by the report he presented that shows there were more than 15,000 hits to the site in October. The website is getting a lot of traffic, Meyer said, adding that it is a good too for communication with the community as well as students.
