A large number of citizens were in attendance Monday night for the mayoral and city council candidate forum sponsored by the Slayton Chamber of Commerce held at the high school auditorium. Moderator Greg Slotten presided over the hour and half forum, presenting a variety of questions gathered from the audience. Participating in the event were mayoral candidates Lee Lokker and incumbent Miron Carney. Those seeking city council office included Jason Kirchner, Dan Jensen, Tom Busch, Rylan Rupp, and incumbents Kristie Blankenship and Chris Jacobson.
