The only match up of the week for the Rebels was against the Ellsworth Panthers. Though it was a long drive to get to Ellsworth, MCC made sure that they were ready to play and shut down the Panthers as quickly as possible, especially in the second set after a late Panther surge.
The first set for MCC went by in a blink of an eye. Taylor Schreier started the serving for MCC and stayed at the line until the Rebels were up 9-0. During that run to start the match off, Kristi Bose picked up a couple of kills while Schreier had a couple ace serves as well. Ellsworth was able to get one point back off a serve that went into the net from Schreier, but MCC regrouped themselves and went back on the attack.
