SPD On The Beat

The Slayton Police Department (SPD) responded to a 911 hang up call in the 2700 block of Juniper Avenue at 4:28 on the morning of September 26, 2012. No emergency was found at the location. Things were determined to be all right.

Assistance was made to Murray County Ambulance (MCA) at 2:21 that afternoon with transporting a patient from the Golden Living Center in the 2900 block of Redwood Avenue to Murray County Medical Center (MCMC).

An adult female contacted SPD at 6:20 in the evening wondering if construction at MCMC should still be in progress at that time of the evening, because she considered the beeping noise from the machinery to be irritating and disturbing. SPD advised the caller it was not that late in the evening for work to be conducted. SPD also advised the caller the beepers were required by law for when the machinery backs up.
