Rebels earn two victories during Homecoming
By: Sean Solheim Murray County News Sports

School spirit was very high this past week during all the Homecoming festivities and on top of all that, the MCC volleyball team hosted to matches, one on Tuesday and was on Thursday. In both match ups, the Rebels came out victorious to give the fans something else to cheer about on top of everything they cheered about during the week.

On Tuesday, the Wolverines of Mountain Lake-Butterfield-Odin traveled to Slayton. The match was another conference match up where the Rebels needed the win to stay near the top of the Red Rock Conference standings. The first set of the match went by fairly quickly with the points in favor of MCC. The Rebels did not look back after they started on a great note, and eventually won the set, 25-16. The second set was a challenge for both sides as they had to play a little extra to determine a winner. By rule, a team has to win by two points to determine a winner.
