The Slayton Police Department (SPD) unlocked a vehicle in the 2600 block of 21st Street without causing damage to the vehicle at 7:11 on the morning of July 11, 2012.

An adult female from the 300 block of North St. Paul Avenue in Fulda contacted SPD at 11:01 that morning to report she had received a telephone call from an individual informing her she had won a new Mercedes Benz car. SPD advised the adult female this was likely a scam and also advised her of her options.

July 12

An adult male from the 3200 Maple Avenue called SPD at 10:10 on the morning of July 12, 2012 to report an unknown party had taken a remote control from under the bumper of his vehicle. The caller insisted there should be a factory issued remote control under the bumper of his car, and the remote was not there. SPD advised the adult male to contact the vehicle’s manufacturer.

Report of two dogs running on the roadway of Highway 30 a short distance west of the Slayton Airport was received at 10:38 that morning. SPD located the dogs that were picked up and transported to the vet clinic.

A vehicle was unlocked in the 2500 block of King Avenue without causing damage to the vehicle at 3:19 in the afternoon.
