Citizens voice concerns over mosquito spraying at city council meeting | |

Mosquito spraying in town was once again the topic of discussion at last Wednesday night's Slayton City Council meeting with concerned citizens Louise Young and Dr. Mae Beth Lindstrom requesting time during the council's public forum period to voice their opposition to the chemical treatment being done to control the mosquito population in town.
Lindstrom and Young have requested that the city consider other viable options for pest control rather than using chemical application. Young has amassed data to back up her opinion on the subject and has made copies available at both city hall and the public library so that interested citizens can peruse the materials.
