What’s cooking at Junipers?

Krugers give new look and feel to local restaurant


There’s an old saying that you can pull the boy off the farm, but not the farm out of the boy...

Well for Megan Kruger it was the restaurant business. Megan and her husband, Logan, recently purchased the former Royal Loon in Slayton. Although the building is the same, the name is now Juniper’s Bar and Grill helping to identify the street the restaurant is located on.

For Kruger, the food business is all she has ever known. Both sides of her family in fact have been in the food business so it was an obvious drawn for her. “I’ve always loved the business and had hoped some day I could return to the business,” commented Megan. She previously had managed The Loon before accepting her director’s position at WonderWorld in Slayton for the past 3 1/2 years.
