Lisa Loring is the new executive director at Golden Living in Slayton, Minnesota. Her roots are Minnesota born as her arrival in this world actually took place in Worthington, Minnesota. When she was in kindergarten her parents moved to Spencer and later grew up, and graduated from, Everly, Iowa.
“Change,” says Lisa is what brought her north to Minnesota. “Administration jobs in Iowa are really tight right now.” She spent the better part of seven years working in administration for a non-profit home in Iowa and then took a break. For the past six months leading up to her job in Slayton, Lisa worked with sex offenders. “I just didn’t know if I wanted to continued to do administrative work in the home setting,” explained Lisa.
