Superintendent Pankonin lays out possible budget cuts in leu of state aid payments
With anticipation of further State Aid payments as a result of Legislative action, Murray County Central Superintendent Summer Pankonen presented possible cuts that may be necessary to make.  She cautioned the large contingent of educators on hand that the proposals were for information only and were not at the present, open for discussion.

Designating her proposals into three phases, dependent on the depth of State cuts, Pankonen listed the first as initial spending cuts at M.C.C.:

-Reduce Dean of Students by .25 FTE.

-Eliminate Special Education secretary position.

-Eliminate Bill Bryan's position in the business office.

-Eliminate 6 paraprofessional positions and para TNT. worktime.

-Reduce one FTE Elementary position.

-District wide technology spending freeze.
