SPD on the beat

Assistance was made to Murray County Sheriff’s Office (MCSO) on Highway 59 at 11:17 on the morning of November 10, 2009 with what was reported as a possible semi-tractor fire.
November 5

The Slayton Police Department (SPD) received a report at 7:46 on the morning of November 5, 2009 of a white dog at large on 23rd Street. SPD was unable to locate the dog.

A 911 hangup call was received from the 2400 block of Broadway Avenue at 9:34 that morning. It was determined to be an issue the telephone company resolved.

An adult male in the 2500 block of King Avenue reported at 9:40 in the morning his juvenile son had been shot and injured in the leg by a BB gun. The juvenile male stated he had been with several friends shooting cans with a BB gun in a friends apartment when the injury occurred. This case is under investigation.

A vehicle was unlocked in the area of 28th Street and Broadway Avenue without causing damage to the vehicle at 11:13 that morning.

Report of a suspicious gray colored Cadillac at St. Ann’s cemetery was received at 11:19 in the morning. The vehicle was gone when SPD arrived. No damage or signs of suspicious happenings were observed in the area.
