Sheriff raids Lake Wilson restaurant
On the evening of Saturday, March 22, 1930 Deputy Joe Ganley, Marshall Gilbert Kraivig of Slayton, Hiram Bostic of Lake Wilson, and Sheriff George Nelson raided the R. J. Wall restaurant in Lake Wilson.

The raid followed the arrest of Charles R. Bennett. Bennett had been picked up earlier in Slayton in an intoxicated condition. Officers agreed to release Bennett on the condition he indicate the source of his liquor. Bennett named Wall and signed the necessary complaint. County Attorney Terry issued a search warrant for the raid.
