Cross Country goes to BOLD Invitational in Olivia

The MCC/Fulda Cross Country team had another successful day in Olivia on Thursday October 6. The combined race of junior varsity and varsity girls 5k was the first event of the meet.

Running in the girls JV race for MCC was senior exchange student Oda Sigdestad. Oda came in seventh and ran a time of 25:40. On the varsity girls team eighth grade Morgan Gehl dominated once again. She was able to take first place overall with a time of 20:01. Coming in fifth place overall was MCC seventh grade runner, Ryanna Schrier. Ryanna ran a personal best time of 21:31. The next Rebel runner to cross the finish line was senior Lissette Garza. Lissette ran a time of 22:29 and finished in 13th place overall. The final three finishers for the Rebel Girls were Josie Harms, Khloe Gehl, and Emily Kathman. These runners finished consecutively in 16th, 17th, and 18th place.

The Rebel girls placed third as a team, scoring a total of 52 points. The team from Paynesville Area came in first with only 35 points and second place was Redwood Valley with 45 points.
