The Plum Creek Library System will present a series of antique appraisal events featuring author and antiques expert Mark F. Moran of Iola, WI. Mr. Moran will be at the Slayton Public Library on Thursday, May 17 at 9:00 a.m.
All items to be appraised must be registered in advance for these free events. Slayton Library registration begins Monday, April 16. You may call the library at 836-8778 to register on a first come first serve basis. There will be 40 slots available over a three hour period. Each person may bring one item for the free appraisal. Visitors are welcome to stay and listen to Mr. Moran’s appraisals.
Moran is available to make home visits for people with large or fragile items (or a lot of items). House calls are $75.00 an hour and there is no mileage charge if within 10 miles of the appraisal event site.
