Betsy Plotz became a new member of Slayton Kiwanis, when she was installed Wednesday.  Plotz is a registered Dietician and recently started at the Murray County Medical Center.

She was sponsored by her husband, Dr. Gary Plotz, who was also recently installed as a member of Kiwanis.   Betsy was installed by Karen Tommeraasen, member of the Slayton Kiwanis Membership Committee.

Betsy has BS in Nutrition from University of Minnesota-Twin Cities.  She completed a Diabetic internship through Utah State University.  She grew up on a farm near Rice, Minnesota and has 11 siblings (seven brothers and four sisters).  Along with her husband Dr. Gary Plotz, DDS, they are greatly enjoying the community and are very excited for their future in Slayton.

"It is wonderful to see so many young people joining the Kiwanis organization", states Heidi Winter, President-Elect of the Slayton Club. "We welcome Betsy to the team and look forward to adding even more new people to our club."
