Rebels ready for season play
It was hot. The Rebel football squad had been working hard during an unusually hot and humid week of twice daily practice sessions. They were ready for some fun. Okay, it was suppose to be a workout but what happens when you put about 40 plus high school boys into a pool? Fun and games abound, and some water aerobics to go along with the fun. The Rebels are going to be coming into this season with som experience and a need to see some wins on the board. Karl Willers will see action Thursday night as the starting quarterback. He saw some time on the field last season and he has the skills needed to run the ball down the field. The Rebels held a scrimmage on Saturday and hosted three teams, Canby, Minneota and Adrian. On Thursday night they will see the first night of official play when they travel to Pipestone to take on the Arrows. See sports section for scrimmage rundown.
